CASPER, Wyo — Winter weather warning and advisories are in effect Saturday night into Sunday for the western mountains and the Snowy Range.
Snowfall Saturday afternoon is also affecting areas southeast of the Tetons over Lincoln and Sublette counties and the west slopes of the Wind River Mountains.

Motorists should be alert for rapid changes in visibility in snow, as well as slick and snow covered roads, NWS said. The warning is in effect until 6:00 am Sunday for the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains, which should see an average of 5-10 inches of new snowfall.

US-191/287 Between Flagg Ranch and the south boundary of Yellowstone National Park is closed due to the weather.
In the southeast, Interstate 80 between between Laramie and Rawlins is seeing limited visibility, snowfall, blowing snow and slick spots, NWS Cheyenne said, especially near Arlington and Elk Mountain.

Winter weather advisories are in effect for the Snowy and Sierra Madre Ranges from 5:00 pm Saturday until 5:00 pm Sunday.
“Total snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches” are expected. Snow looks to become widespread Monday afternoon into Tuesday, NWS said.
